Recomiendo este libro si su hijo/a está pensando que hay algo que quiere cambiar de su aparencia. En este libro, Pina, una foca, no está feliz siendo una foca. Ella preferería ser cualquier otro animal. Un día ella corta los bigotes y de repente se siente mejor. Sin embargo, las otras focas se burlan de ella. Además, no puede cazar. Al final, se crecen los bigotes otra vez y ella agradece ser una foca y las características suyas. A mi me gusta este libro porque me recuerda de que hay un propósito de ser cómo somos. Es un cuento lindo de una foca que aprende a dar gracias por cómo es ella. A traves de este libro, puede tener la conversación acerca de la aparencia física.




I recommend this book if your child is wishing they could change something about themselves. In this book, Pina, a seal is not happy with being a seal; she wishes that she could be any other animal in the world. One day, she cuts off her whiskers and she starts to feel better about herself. Then, the other seals make fun of her because she looks different. On top of that, she cannot hunt. In the end, her whiskers grow back and she is so thankful to be the way she is. I like this book because it is a nice reminder that there is a purpose for everyone being how they are. This is a nice story about how a seal came to terms with being who she is. This book could be a conversation starter about physical appearance.
