La tortuga en este libro está lista para dormir todo el invierno pero cada vez que casi está a punto de dormir alguien está tocando a la puerta. Sus amigos quieren desearle un buen descanso. La tortuga reconoce que tiene buenos amigos pero quiere dormir. Su amigo el león viene y está triste porque no sabe cómo ayudar la tortuga dormir. Entonces, la tortuga piensa en una buena solución para el león. ¡La tortuga tiene mucha paciencia!

This is another story about working as a team, celebrating differences, and helping the community. The turtle in this story is so tired that he wants to sleep for the entire winter. Every time that he is about ready to fall asleep someone knocks at his door. His friends all want to wish him a good sleep but he just wants to sleep. Turtle recognizes that he has great friends but he really just wants to sleep. His friend, Lion, comes to the door and he is sad because he does not know how to help the turtle sleep. Finally, the turtle thinks of a solution to help both he and the lion. This is one patient turtle!

This book is about a baby who gets the hiccups. Her family desperately wants to help her get rid of the hiccups but they don't know how. Each family member is thinking of ways to get rid of hiccups but they cannot agree on the best solution.

This is a great book to read about how to work as a team, how to solve problems, and to talk about how everyone has different ideas.

Aquí está otro libro de Quinito. Es un libro un poco más difícil que el otro libro de Quinito pero también tiene un buen enfasis en el vocabulario de la comunidad, más específico, en cómo describir una persona. Quinito está describiendo características de su familia. Lo que me gusta de este libro es que nos hace pensar en cómo somos y cómo somos similares y diferentes. Puede ser un buen libro para usar para comparer y contrastar hermanos, primos, familiares, etc. También hay un glosario (lista de vocabulario importante) al final del libro.

Here is another Quinito (Key-knee-toe) book! This one is more difficult than the other Quinito book but it is also a great vocabulary building book, more specifically in describing people in a community. In this book, Quinito is describing characteristics of his family members. One thing I really like about this book is that it makes us think about who we are compared to the other people around us. This could be a great book to talk about comparing family members, siblings, cousins, etc. Like the other Quinito book, this one has a glossary at then end of it.

Este es un libro divertido que nos da un ejemplo de cómo los niños piensan y cómo interpretan el mundo. El niño tiene una gran imaginación y en vez de ver lo normal, ve cualquier cosa con su imaginación. Por ejemplo, en vez de ver una cama, ve un desierto y por eso siempre necesita un vaso de agua cuando es tiempo para acostarse. El niño aprende que aunque es pequeñito, no es solo porque sus padres le ayudan a crecer. Es un cuento chistoso para toda la familia 😃.


This is a fun story that can help us get insight as to how kids see the world. The little boy in this story has a great imagination and instead of seeing things as how they are, he sees them with his imagination. For example, instead of seeing his bed, he sees a desert and that is why he always needs a glass of water before he goes to bed. The little boy learns that even though he is small, he is not alone because he has people to support him grow up. This is a fun story for the whole family!😃

A mi me gusta este libro porque es simple pero chistoso. Tiene un sentido de misterio y suspenso. Es un buen libro para usar para practicar la fluidez porque las oraciones son simples y el vocabulario no es tan difícil. Hay opotunidades de practicar la expression. También, no es un libro muy largo.

¿Cómo puedes enseñar a alguien a reconocer a un perro, gato, dragón, (lo que sea)?


I like this book because it is simple yet funny. It has a sense of mystery and suspense to it that kids enjoy. This would be a good book to use to practice fluency because the sentences are simple and the vocabulary is not too difficult. There are many opportunities to practice expression too! Also, this book is not very long.

How can you teach someone to recognize a dog, cat, dragon, (whatever else you want to add)?
